1, Samsung NAND factory power outage for 30 minutes

On March 9, 2018, Samsung’s NAND factory suddenly suffered an unexpected 30-minute power outage. The damaged wafers in this accident are equivalent to 11% of Samsung's total NAND flash memory production in March, or 3.5% of global NAND flash supply. Originally, the price of NAND Flash has just started to decline, and the blackout of the Samsung factory may lead to another rise.


2, Toshiba power failure 0.07 seconds lead to a 20% reduction in production
In 2010, NAND Flash maker Toshiba of Japan showed a short-term 0.07 second power outage at four wafer fabs in Yokkaichi, Japan on December 8. The four fabs were shut down for nearly two days. This power outage event affected Toshiba that capacity in the next two months will reduce output by 20%.

The company's main production direction is 8-inch and 12-inch silicon semiconductor ingots and wafer products.

The production characteristics of semiconductor factories determine that once a long-term power outage will have a serious impact on production and operation activities, the safety and economy of semiconductor factory production determine that semiconductor factories must have a reliable and stable power supply. In the current technology and power environment, there is an urgent need to match emergency diesel generator sets.

Under the existing utility power distribution system, building a reasonable emergency power supply and distribution system is great significance to the semiconductor plant. According to the statistics of the factory emergency electric load, two sets of spare 1600KW diesel generator sets are clearly configured. Combined with the actual demand situation and automation design of the enterprise production, the diesel generator set should have automatic synchronization, automatic parallel operation; automatic distribution of load; fault protection and other functions.


Solution

In view of the needs of enterprises and the stability, advancement, energy saving and environmental protection of diesel generator sets, two spare 1600KW diesel generator sets were provided for the project. When the government electric fail, the generator set starts up at the same time, and the parallel power supply and automatic load distribution are automatically combined. At the same time, from project selection, system design, program optimization to project implementation, technical support, to provide customers with comprehensive power system solutions projects.


1.National landmark semiconductor leading project

Xuzhou Xinjing Semiconductor Silicon Wafer Project is a forward-looking layout of the GCL Group and the National Integrated Circuit Industry Investment Fund in the field of semiconductor materials. It is one of the national landmark semiconductor projects with first-class technology and a total investment of 15 billion yuan. The first phase investment is 9.45 billion yuan and the construction area are 439,000 square meters. It is planned to build 8-inch and 12-inch semiconductor-grade large silicon wafer production bases.

As one of the 16 major projects identified by the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee and the provincial government, the project will be positioned to build a world-class R&D and production base. After completion, it will provide key raw material support for China's semiconductor manufacturing industry and completely break the foreign high-tech Long-term monopoly of raw material products.
